I binged the entire season yesterday and fucking loved it. I'd describe it as the Goonies written by Stephen King and directed by John Carpenter. The atmosphere of it is fantastic. The soundtrack is perfect and Winona Ryder is exceptional. So many references to classic horror movies in it too.

Eleven is already an established actor in television, this might land her some movie roles though.
The toothy kid and sister IMO, probably had the best roles and most noticeable acting jobs. Neither are well known or have much work behind them either. I wouldnt be shocked to see the young girl on movies very soon.

I can somewhat see that.
And it wouldnt be "too juvenile" i dont think thats the problem (that claim sounds like a claim a teenager who wants to appear more adult would make). I think there are tonal shifts which lead to uncertainty in the overall tone of the show. My biggest criticism was that from 5 or 6 to the end, parts of it felt.... a bit "goosebumpy" and stood out from the rest of the show and events. It just didnt mold the two genera's very well toward the end of the series imo. It was acceptable, it was still a fine series, and i thought i was nit picking this until other people started mentioning it.

The brothers who wrote and directed it did a fantastic job and it really shows what people can do when given a chance. The only other semi-major production they had was Hidden, which was a good movie. Aside from that they dont have much under their belt. BUT, because of this fact, i do think they made common mistakes that newer writers and directors make and thats the issue being highlighting.

This was okay. I watched it in one sitting. I didn't really feel anything until episode 3. Cool songs that fit very well with some of the scenes. I thought Wynona screamed throughout the whole show. This felt like a series for kids. Will I watch the second season, probally not. 6/10

Watched it this weekend. Honestly, I thought it was great. It reminds you that horror could be fun without being too goofy. It had a great vibe. As for a second season, I'm not sure what they would do but I would watch it.
