What a waste. Thoughts?

Alright, here is my opinion

First listen: What a fucking waste. A bunch of J-Pop assholes trying to tarnish the metal name? Fucking blasphemy

Second listen: (to this song)



"Alright, well they are definitely not as horrid as when I first heard them". That song had me open my eyes to them a bit more and to appreciate the musicianship by the people behind those girls. It's a bit more power metal-y than their first album which was almost strictly J-Pop. After that, I kind of ignored them.

Then, Babymetal was announced for Chicago Open Air. I have to admit, I saw footage of them live and it looked like fun. I was kind of excited to see them and see how atrocious they were live. I have to say, they are pretty fucking tight live. The musicians played the shit out of their respected instruments. During the set, there was a drum solo, a bass solo and a killer guitar solo. This video is from Chicago Open Air. The first minute or so has them shredding and it was god damn impressive for this type of band



In conclusion. They are definitely not my cup of tea. My girlfriend bought their first album and after listening to it, it's not something I'd regularly listen to. I do, however, have a lot more respect for them after seeing them live. At first I thought the talent was hidden behind the girls, but when they stepped off the stage so these guys could shred, I knew they were the real deal.

J-pop sung by three girls to death metal... wtf is more fantastic? Its such a beautiful irony and clash of cultures that comes together so well. Theres so much to be said about how great this is.. its like having a dream with virtual reality glasses on and one side has horror and the other has japanese school girl porn..... i mean.... come on... how can you not love this shit?

At the end of the day really when you look at it. Cultural appropriation and the people who believe in it, are just fucking boring. What kind of world do they want to live in?
Its one devoid of fun, and entertainment and happiness.
Cultures when they interact bring things to the table that other cultures don't possess.
Its through cooperation and innovation that we create new and interesting things that make the world entertaining and fun to be part of.
Not everything is super fucking serious
Some may want to live in a world that is cold and dead and sterile and void of anything that gives warmth and happiness to people.
But as for myself and people who think like me, we would rather live in a world where little Japanese girls front death metal bands, because that's just more fun.

Ive been to enough metal and punk concerts and shows to know the general hygiene of a large percentage of people there. Combine this with the bad hygiene of weeaboo's and oh man... you wont find me near that place. We could bottle the smells coming out of that arena and use it as a biological weapon.
