Hello, everyone! Thanks for checking this thread out! My name is Dan Eden, and I have an indie production company called EEK! on Film. I want to tell you about an upcoming dual found footage movie, called "Villain"...
Much like my buddy Mike Chester's upcoming found footage movie, "The Trick or Treaters", "Villain" is also shot from the perspective of our protagonists, as well as our antagonist. A good chunk of the film was shot at Chicago's C2E2 comic convention in March, on the sly, a la "Escape From Tomorrow". It's suspenseful, creepy, and in my humble opinion, an interesting new take on the genre!
Here's an exclusive, just for the UHM board: We plan on self-releasing on either Youtube or Vimeo on Halloween! We couldn't go the distribution route, because of the number of copyright infringements (far too much comic book and movie imagery at the con... heck, our bad guy wears a Batman Court of Owls mask in this!) Therefore, the film needs a lot of grassroots love on the internet, if we ever want to get people to see it! We can't make any money off this project, because once you start profiting off copyrighted images that aren't yours, it becomes illegal This is TRULY A LABOR OF LOVE! So please, please, please, show your love, and check out the trailer at:
And then, check out the official "Villain" Facebook page at: facebook.com/villainfilm
Filmmakers and actors: If you give us some love, we will definitely give you some! It's a "you scratch our backs..." mentality that I'm keeping, because indie film needs support! Especially that kind of Youtube/self-released indie film that falls into a category of its own.
Anyways, thanks for reading this post, and we'll see you this Halloween!
