R.L. Stine's Fear Street books getting a movie adaptation

I loved these books growing up much more than Goosebumps, the ones that came out in the 80s and early 90s were decent, maybe it's my nostalgia goggles but I still find them fairly enjoyable. I hope it's more of an anthology deal instead of a bunch of stories combined into one film unless they are crafty enough to do it like Pulp Fiction or something and a group of stories and characters loosely tied together

LOVED this series more than Goosebumps and definitely excited to see how it's going to translate to the big screen though I always thought that they missed the boat by not making this into a tv series in the 90's.
So many books and so many stories it screams for an anthology adaptation like "American Horror Story".
Whatever the case I'm ready for Fear Street.

There were several 3 part stories or "sagas" in the fear street series. I would think they would be testing the waters with those so that they can bring back a few characters from movie to movie. If the films do well then it would probably suit all involved to adapt his individual books into an an anthology series for television. Either way, I grew up on these books and I'm interested to see if they keep this for younger audiences (like Goosebumps) or if they take an edgier approach and make this more "horror" with a possible R rating for an older audience.

I'm not familiar with these. the extent of my RLStine knowledge comes from the Haunting Hour tv series; which i liked.
