(Netflix) Altered Carbon

Finally got around to finishing this new Netflix series and I thought it was pretty good. Nice visuals and some pretty good action and characters. There's even some nice gore in scenes. Worth checking out if you're in a scifi mood. Hopefully they'll renew it for another season. High 7/10

Finished season 1 and it's a decent show. Nothing too over the top, but nothing necessarily lacking in any department either. Keeping track of different people who use different sleeves though can sometimes be a chore, but other than that it's a fairly interesting ride. Worth watching if you dig on scifi.

Finished season 2 and now caught up. I didn't like the second season as well as the first, and didn't care as much for the sleeve the Kovac character was using. Just as you are getting used to one representation of a character it can change - for the better or worse. It's a risk either way potentially at the cost of viewership. All that aside it's a fun show with an interesting premise, characters, and setting, and I hope it comes back for more seasons because sci-fi of this type in particular has pretty much limitless potential in storytelling.

side note: maybe it's just me, but I think Poe might just be the best thing about the show.
