(Showtime) The Chi (2018)

I highly recommend checking out this urban crime drama that focuses on several people's lives that are intertwined and effected by the death of a star basketball player. It's fairly well written with some interesting characters and some surprisingly good and sometimes funny dialogue, especially involving the kids in the show (who are also a focus). I'd give the show a solid 8/10. You can catch the first full episode for free below

Not that anyone cares (I doubt anyone here watched it), but I thought I'd update the thread anyway--season 3 is almost over and the writing has taken a HUGE dive. I think it's mostly due to the fact that one of the key leads ran into sexual harassment trouble, so showtime canned him, which forced the writers to rethink storylines. Either way, if anyone was ever looking to check this out I'd recommend just stopping after the 2nd season. Hopefully this is the last season.
