    Horror Movie Recommendations?

I'm always trying to expand my horror movie collection and increasing the number of horror movies "I've seen throughout the years" but trying to find a new horror movie I haven't seen that is actually worth the watch is becoming a rarity. If you guys can drop the names of a few movies that you highly recommend, please do so. I appreciate it!

Final Prayer (2013) (original title The Borderlands)

Better than average paranormal type flick with an ending you'll never predict. See it if you haven't already.

Having no idea what movies you have or have not seen, here are a few lesser-known flicks I tend to direct people toward...

    The Sentinel (1977)
    Body Parts (1991)
The Offspring (aka From a Whisper To a Scream, 1987)
    Blood and Donuts (1995)
    The Woods (2006)
    Effects (1980)
    Mr. Vampire (1985)
Il Dia de la Bestia (Day of the Beast, 1995)
    Mute Witness (1995)
Encounter of the Spooky Kind (1980)
The Church (aka Demons III, 1989)
    Dead and Buried (1981)
Shock (aka Beyond the Door 2, 1977)
    Evil Ed (1995)
    Ghosthouse (1988)
    Castle Freak (1995)
    Ghost Story (1981)
All of Them Witche (aka Sobrenatural, 1996)
    Tower of Evil (1972)
    Macabre (1980)
Nattevagten (1994 -- later remade as Nightwatch in '97; the original's much better)
    Habit (1995)
    Blue Jean Monster (1991)
    Bad Moon (1996)
    Dust Devil (1992)

And just in case you're more forgiving than most and are able to see value beyond a budget and professional acting, here are some recommendable SOV/no-budget flicks worth giving a look:

Shatter Dead (1994 -- adults only!)
    Bloodletting (1997)
    Sandman (1995)
Red Spirit Lake (1993 - adults only!)
    Polymorph (1996)
    Original Sins (1996)
    Crinoline Head (1997)
    Gut-Pile (1997)

If these aren't enough to get you started (or if you've already seen them and want others) I'm happy to add more.

^^^ Good call with Bone Sickness. I should have included that with that brief list of SOV flicks (as well as a few other Morbid Vision Films movies, like Dead Girl on Film, At Dawn They Sleep and Fetus). I was buddies with the guy who made those flicks, Brian Paulin, and have a copy of Bone Sickness where he thanks my old web site in the credits. I was also in Savini Chat with him the night he met the lady who would later become his wife. Good folks, those two. Damn, I haven't talked to them in years...

Brian and I are friends on FaceBook, such a great filmmaker and a wonderful guy. I always donate and back his films. Here is a picture of Brian working on his latest film 'Septic'.

I'm sorry to say Brian announced that he and Stacy were separating. She does still help him with his filming and have remained friends.
You need to see Cryptic Plasm and Blood Pigs, his newer films.

Next time you chat with him, tell him Lon says hey. Sorry to hear about him and Stacy, though. Do you know Rip Moore? He's another 'net buddy of mine who has chipped in on a couple of Brian's flicks. Shit, come to think of it, I haven't talked to him in a while either. Man, I'm a bad friend!
