Girls held captive in a factory?

I realize I remember almost nothing from this movie, other than the fact that I loved it. Sigh. But this is what do remember:

I think there are 2 girls held captive in some sort of factory. I recall one of them not wanting to escape, and the other wanting to. There's a scene where one of attempts to escape, she's running barefoot on gravel outside in bright daylight, I remember seeing a chainlink fence, and she's abruptly caught again.

There was something about where they were born or being an orphan or something in the factory? For some reason when I try to remember what this movie is, I think Orphange or Trick or Treat...more clues perhaps?

HELP PLEASE this is killing me. And it has been for years.

So I 'loved' Martyrs but could never bring myself to watch it again because of the last 1/3 (naturally). I've always associated the movie with the last 1/3 and totally forgot about the beginning and setup. Because of this, I've always overlooked it when thinking of my mystery movie. But now that you mention it, it is exactly it! Thanks for helping me scratch a year long itch. Kudos.
