I really enjoyed the first Avatar, even if it is just Pocahontas in space. I still regard it as the few 3D movies that didn't give me a headache while watching it.

With that being said, I really don't give a shit about any sequels. It's been too long.

It seems crazy to make 4 films back to back, it was a big gamble with lord of the rings to film all three movies at the same time. What if Avatar 2 is a bust or just doesn't do nowhere as well as the first one?

I loved the first Avatar, I have the extended version and am looking forward to these movies, even if it might get stale later on and yeah it's a big payday for Disney and their ever-growing monopolizing tyranny over mainstream movies, but hey this is a rare opportunity to witness where 5 big-budgeted movies are made under the same person, that's not easy to pull off. Color me excited, even if the sequels might get stale.

I don't give a single shit about Avatar. Probably won't see a single one of these...in fact I don't think I've seen the first, I just can't bring myself to care enough to

I'll keep an open mind about this. I found the first film enjoyable, although the story was quite weak.

I kinda feel the same way. Enjoyed the first but it's been so long that the lustre has worn off. I'll give it a go, but not in the theatre. I can wait till it shown up on a streaming media

It's weird. I enjoyed the first one, but still have no interest at all in this one or any others. Too much time has passed. Don't care for this shit.

I just can't find the ability to care about this movie. Much the same as the first I just never gave a single shit.

Everyone remember when avatar came out and for like a 5 years after we had to have a shitty 3D version of every movie come out and retailers were only selling 3D tvs. Now with the exception of kids movies no one gives a shit about 3D movies or 3D tvs anymore?

I didn't care for the first one. The CGI overload made the whole thing feel like a cartoon, which left me unable to invest in one single character -- even the real actors not replaced by CGI. Disassociation by association, I guess. Plus, the story was generic as hell. Watching this trailer yesterday, I got the same feeling: it looks like a cartoon. A very expensive cartoon, but a cartoon nonetheless.

I'm looking at that trailer and while it looks visually great...I'm not as excited for it as the first one, whether people like it or hate it, it was an experience as well as exhibiting what visual effects CGI can do and has proven anything we could ever imagine can be brought to life (though studios cynically hate anything creative and niche)...eh, I'll give it a chance, at this rate I hope the story is really good. Why else would James Cameron want to make so many movies of this one world?

Could care less about Avatar. I would've never bothered with the first time if I didn't have to watch it for my movie class. In fact, I didn't show up to class the next day to finish the last half. But I definitely will not watch this one or play the video game.

Never cared for the first one; no idea why they needed a sequel

Like, so many people out there were trying to track this down. And it just...got delivered on a tweet. What the hell.
