So, this was actually a pretty good show. IMDB synopsis says, "An injured hitman (Christopher Meloni) befriends his kidnapped daughter's imaginary friend - a perky blue flying unicorn (Patton Oswalt)."
I really like both Patton and Christopher Meloni. Chris' roles are diverse. While Wet Hot American Summer and Harold and Kumar 2 show that he can be a complete goofball, he's not afraid to do a 180 and be serious like in Oz and NCIS (I think it's NCIS, it's that one cop show he was on). On the other hand, I always like Patton Oswalt in his tv and movie career over his standup. He brings in a lot of dirty comedy and has some great dramatic chops as well.
This show was great because Patton Oswalt being a CGI unicorn still has great chemistry with the live action Christopher Meloni, who is a complete fuckin' mess. Them two alone make this show worth watching. There are side characters who I didn't have as much fun with. They were borderline useless, but Patton and Christopher really make this show. Also, the gore in this show is pretty brutal. With a lot of practical effects, it's extremely violent looking.
The writing is great though. There were a lot of actual laugh out loud moments coming from these two. Not so much from other characters.
Overall, I'd give this a high 7/10. It hit Syfy in 2017, but was recently added to Netflix. Season 2 is currently being shown on Syfy. I recommend it.
