Carpenters whole career is a wheel of fortunes. I cant emphasize fortunes enough because I believe he is a hack. Lets his 'best' films get remade probably as long as he gets a percentage of profit from the films. His only good film for me is They Live more or less because Roddy Piper was badass and probably the best actor Carpenter has worked with.
They Live is a timeless film the haves and have nots of society its forever current Piper was awesome in it They Live, Halloween and The Fog are my favorites

Funny thing about JC is that movies like Halloween and The Thing are so baass you can't help wondering what he was thinking when he put his name on crap like Ghost of Mars and Escape From LA

Ah, I really enjoyed Ghosts of Mars (despite it not being a 'good' film). If we're talking crap Carpenter, then The Ward is way up the top of the list. It doesn't even feel like a Carpenter film. No character at all, just full of blandness, bad acting and shitty FX.
