    Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)

First Darren Aronofsky's Noah, now we have yet another biblical epic this time from Ridley Scott

Ridley Scott's also is producing a David and Goliath film too. What is with all the bible and christian movies lately? This, Noah, God's not dead, Mom's Night Out, Heaven is for Real. And out of all of these, sounds like Noah was the only worthwhile one worth watching.

As for Exodus, I liked it better when it was animated and a musical by Dreamworks.

Just a theme in the next series of films. People rolling their eyes because it's based off the bible need to realize that the bible is still a book with stories in it. There have been movie adaptations for years based on old books. Most film plots come in a group so, idk why people are surprised.

I heard the promotion for this film is balls awful though. I don't see how it can go wrong with Bale and Scott. I'm down

Whenever a big budget studio film is released, everyone tries to jump on the bandwagon. Especially if they know it is going to be a success. Basically they create a public appetite, then milk it for all it's worth.

I've never been a big fan of biblical stories. I prefer ancient mythology.

I'm not religious and know very little of what the bible entails, so my view on this movie was an unbiased one. That said, it was an okay movie. It's a bit too long and I expected there to possibly be more battles since that's much of what was shown in the trailer. The reality is the only battle we have is in the beginning, while the rest plays out as expected if you're familiar with the bible at all. I'm not, but I've seen the plagues and stuff before, so I'm somewhat familiar with that much at least. Overall I'd give it a 6/10
