No official plot yet, but the original revolved around "a decades-old folk tale surrounding a deranged murderer killing those who celebrate Valentine's Day turns out to be true to legend when a group defies the killer's order and people start turning up dead."

This project is rumored to be in development at Blumhouse, but nothing else is known about it at the moment. Until something official is announced you can treat it simply as a rumor. (5/24/24)
This is a second remake of the original movie. The first remake was co-written by Todd Farmer (Jason X, Drive Angry, Trick) and directed by Patrick Lussier (Dracula 2000, Drive Angry, Trick, Play Dead). It was in 3D when it went to theaters back in 2009 and would ultimately bring in $100-million worldwide on a budget of $14-million. A sequel was planned, but never came to fruition, reportedly due to the studio's lack of interest.
This is said to be a remake of the classic 1981 holiday slasher with the same name.
