Co-director Michael Rock was quoted saying: "This one’s all about brotherhood, monster mayhem, and going out with a bang. Dillon and I love making these films together. It’s more than just horror—it’s friendship, it’s healing, and it’s fun." Co-director Dillon Brown added.. "We wanted to honor the golden age of creature features while still giving Tahoe Joe the epic sendoff he deserves. This is for the fans, for the cast, and for every monster kid who grew up watching VHS tapes until they wore out. This one especially feels deeply personal to me."

The movie is said to be working with "a cast made up of military veterans and first responders, many of whom use acting and filmmaking as a form of therapy to combat PTSD. This final entry also incorporates multiple members of the handicap community into the production."

Filmmakers Dillon Brown and Michael Rock return.

The first movie was reportedly filmed on a budget of just $800.

Described as "a loving homage to the monster-driven spectacles of the ‘80s and ‘90s."

This is said to be the final installment in the Tahoe Joe found-footage horror saga.
