Star Jessica Rothe briefly spoke about the film recently, referring to it as a "grittier" version of another upcoming giant snack movie (Anaconda). Here's what she had to say: "So, what I think is really cool about 'Titan' and the 'Anaconda' reboot coming out at the same time is, I don't know, I haven't read the Anaconda reboot script, but it looks like a freaking blast. A comedy. Jack Black, Paul Rudd, give me more, I want all of it. I want to take a bath in that. But our movie is much more like if 'Sorcerer' met 'Anaconda,' so it's gritty and real. It's about a group of, like, doctors without borders who go down and spend a lot of time, and just happen upon a force they weren't expecting. And Mike. P. Nelson, our director, is just so amazing, another incredible cast on the back of that one, and so, I haven't seen it yet, but all of the things I've seen and even filming it, we went down to the Amazon to shoot it. So I got to go on rainforest tours and drive around on a boat! So who doesn't want to do that?" (10/13/25)

Co-written/directed by Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn remake).

The creature featured in the film called "Boiúna" is a mythological beast in Brazilian mythology. The creature is said to be an intelligent large black serpant. Read more about it here.

Said to be set against the backdrop of Brazil’s Curuçá River in the present day.

Described as an "action-adventure horror-thriller."
