Little Bites (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
9/10

Mindy (Fox) is a young, widowed mother who spends her days in deep melancholy isolation to protect her 10-year-old daughter Alice from a most fearful monster that is slowly eating Mindy alive. Sounds bizarre, yes…but the intrigue of complexity is mind numbing and exhausting.

The Hostage

REVIEWER RATING:
6/10

The Hostage is misleading in title alone. When I hear “hostage”, I immediately think felony crime, negotiators, SWAT team and a whole lot of drama surrounding a poor abducted person of interest.

Devil's Knight (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

I am a sucker for a good period piece film. Add in some bloody battles, monsters and Monty Python humor, and I’m all in!

Anarchy Parlor (2015)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

Not sure how this little gem escaped my radar, but now I’m here to share the joy. Anarchy Parlor is like a festival for Eli Roth horror fans.

The Farm Hand (2022)

REVIEWER RATING:
3/10

The Farm Hand (originally titled “Whispers in the Wheat”) begins with a promising beginning. Within the first 5 minutes, we watch a man running through a rural area, desperate to mail out a red journal with a photograph of a middle-aged couple.

Unnatural (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

I’m officially convinced that John Wells can do no wrong…even as a blood-sucking villain in a remote Western town. It’s become a personal challenge to find his flaws…but I’m still searching. Haha!

Abruptio (2023)

REVIEWER RATING:
5/10

Abruptio is a horror movie that took about a decade to complete thanks to mainly using puppetry with an extensive post-production process.

Crust (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
5/10

Actor Sean Whalen (who I’ll always remember as Roach from The People Under the Stairs) makes his feature film directorial debut with this indie project titled Crust, which just landed in limited theaters recently.

The Only Ones (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

A bunch of friends, squatters, drugs and a folklore set off a domino effect of epic proportions in this simplistic horror film that delivers some gruesome killings!

Death Bitch (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
2/10

Pitched to me as “Death Wish” with a female lead, I eagerly clicked on this 87 min flick in hopes of seeing a bad-ass chick go Bronson-style on wicked urban scum through a stylized take on the 1970’s cult classic film. What I actually watched was…well…I’m still trying to figure it out.
