I forgot why I sought this movie out, but I searched for this OOP 80's slasher online and purchased it for a cheap price. I was hoping to find another underrated slasher flick, but instead I got an 80-minute visit into boresville. The movie tries too hard to keep the viewer guessing as to who could be the killer, but once the killer is revealed it ends up being no real surprise. Also, the deaths are also too few and far apart, so most of the movie consists of the main characters speculating as to where their missing roomies have gone off to. That is of course until it’s revealed that there's a killer somewhere in the area.

The story is just like any other 80's slasher -- we follow a small handful of characters as they are killed one by one by some mysterious assailant. The main character we follow is a young girl who (no surprise) befriends and begins having "relations" with one of her roomies. The duo attempt to track down the killer, and discover the manor that they're living in could be the source. As the film goes on we discover more and more about the house's past and the family that lives in it.

This movie is nothing special. There's barely any blood or gore and the story tends to drag on at times, especially since the deaths take too long to happen and are too quick when they do. This was apparently writer/director Denny Harris' first and last film, and with good reason considering. I would've given the movie a lower-rating, but the acting wasn't that bad and it's not as ridiculous as other 80's horror.

Another seemingly unheard-of slasher to come out of the 80's, but maybe it's unheard of for a reason? Too boring, and with its lack of blood and gore, why bother? Not recommended.
