Finally here is a semi-original early-80s horror film that I haven't already seen or heard of. Instead of dealing with the usual who-done-it slasher, we're introduced to a science facility that's doing research on the effects of mental conditions with the local teens. As a side effect (although never mentioned to the subjects) turns them into violent and murderous beings. The plot is somewhat similar to the 1998 theatrical film Disturbing Behavior (which also bears a similar title) if you consider experimenting on teens resulting in them killing a similar theme.
