The Relic is a movie that I've been wanting to revisit for a while now. I was lucky enough to catch the film in theaters and eventually picked it up on VHS, but hadn't seen it again until I found it for cheap on Blu-ray. This is yet another flick that I'd proudly consider a guilty pleasure and feel that it's a bit underrated as far as creature features go.

Well I saw the original Japanese film about a year and a half ago and I never really expected there to be an American remake and when I first heard about it, I was quite skeptical. After seeing pictures and finally the trailer I had new hope for the film. I knew I'd like it, but the question was if I'd like it better than the original. Now having seen the remake I have to say I like the original a little more. The movie starts out pretty similar to the original film.
