I'm running an 8600 GT, which suits me just fine for playing 'Day of Defeat Source' and emulators.

Which sadly make up the bulk of my PC gaming these days given the pathetic crop of titles.

I have a 8800GTS 320mb and a 8800GT OC2 512mb and the GT is kicking my ass man. I've fooled with the OC, the fan settings, freezing, stutters, game crashes, blue screens, you name it. I used cpu-z, everest, riva tuner, you name it. the cpu is at 33c, my gpu is at 37-39c idle and around 46c mid load with 80%-100% fan speed and yet I crash in game like its overheated. makes no sense. fuck BFG.

I'm ebaying it since if I return it I'll have to either exchange it or lose 15%. I should have got the eVGA model. Now, I'm probably just going to wait for next month

Did you play Crysis?

Nope. Tried the demo and wasn't too impressed. Certainly wasn't worth buying a $300+ video card for.
