It seems the Platinum Dunes producers have finally found their "visual director" that will "blow people away" -- award-wining music videos and commercial director Samuel Bayer has been tapped to go behind the cameras for the Nightmare on Elm Street remake, which hopes to begin filming in May.
Scripted by Wesley Strick (Arachnophobia, Cape Fear, Wolf), the film's story will have strong elements of the first movie, and is said to offer a more psychological approach. There's still no word on who will take over the role of Freddy. Read more on the remake here.
