In the present political climate, we see Trump’s America racially divided and no less than a horror film in the making. It’s now up to the democratic candidates to present a strong front to take on the present administration when the next election comes. Else it won’t be a surprise to see a purge-like day taking place within the next few years.

It’s not an outright political film, but The Cabin in the Woods looks at how we the people are sometimes treated as puppets without even knowing about it. The story is about a secluded cabin in the woods, visited by a bunch of friends who are not aware that the environment around them is controlled by a set of people sitting in an underground lab. The film takes inspiration from classic horror movies but is also an insight into how modern-day humans live a guilt-free life, not worried about the sufferings of others. Featuring elements of humour and the supernatural, the movie is a fun, yet a thought-provoking watch.
