The Ruck March (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

For anyone unfamiliar with a ruck, it is military slang for a backpack; and “rucking” refers to walking or hiking with a loaded/heavy backpack. In other words, “a ruck march” is rucking with a ruck.

This Week's Notable Horror: 04/07 - 04/13

This week offers another decent amount of releases for fans to check out. Specifically, the action fantasy IN THE LOST LANDS hits PVOD tomorrow after a short theatrical run. Meanwhile, Friday sees the theatrical release of DROP from director Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky), while the new supernatural flick SHADOW OF GOD lands on Shudder. Check below for everything notable releasing this week.

Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories (2016)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

Horror anthologies are seldom made any more. Well, seldom made WELL! I had to rephrase that. Remember CREEPSHOW? BODY BAGS? Even TWILIGHT ZONE the MOVIE was a fun ride through some insanity of the subconscious. And not since TRICK ‘R TREAT (2009) have I enjoyed a montage of nastiness.

Mountain Fever (2017)

REVIEWER RATING:
6/10

Have you checked out Stephen King’s THE STAND (1994)? Just omit the ‘Devil’, Randall Flagg, ‘Angel’ Mother Abagail, the massive journey to salvation and all the supernatural effects. Set it in the frigid mountains of the UK, and you have MOUNTAIN FEVER.

Bethany (2017)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

James Cullen Bressack is the prince of horror. Once again, he brings us a scary, frightening and haunting tale of family values.

After the passing of her mother, Claire and her husband Aaron (Estes and Ward) move into her childhood home where many evil memories reside.
