A handsome high school basketball star is running down the court during what appears to be a critical game of the season. He’s sweating, tense and seems unsettled, but not from the pressure of winning. It’s probably due to the smoky visions coming from the bleachers.
This Week's Notable Horror: 02/02 - 02/08

We're now in February and the week's already starting off with a number of notable new releases to check out. This week sees THE HOUSEMAID debut on PVOD tomorrow, while a majority of new titles come out this Friday. Among the lot is the DRACULA remake from writer/director Luc Besson, which lands in theaters, along with THE STRANGERS: CHAPTER 3 and the supernatural flick WHISTLE.

It looks like January is closing out with a decent amount of new releases. Specifically, ANACONDA reportedly hits PVOD tomorrow, while the SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT remake also releases on VOD tomorrow. This Friday will see the debut of a couple notable theatrical titles: IRON LUNG from YouTuber Markiplier and the horror-comedy SEND HELP from director Sam Raimi.

Written by and starring Ashley Hargrove, Marriage Bites is one to watch…as is she! Clever, energetic and zany, this horror comedy is needed in the push for more satirical vampire flicks to steer us away from the overloaded bells and whistles circling a typical blockbuster fanger film.
