Previous writer/director Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat's Daughter, The Monkey, Keeper) returns to write, produce, and direct.
The first movie reportedly earned $128 million worldwide on a budget of less than $10 million, becoming distributor Neon's highest-grossing domestic release. It's reported that Neon decided to step aside for this new movie "when the new project’s scope and budget exceeded that of the company's normal parameters."
This is not a sequel to the 2024 film Longlegs, but is reportedly set in the same universe.
