This Week's Notable Horror: 07/14 - 07/20


We've entered another decent week of new horror releases with more standouts among the lot. Namely, M3GAN 2.0 is already set to hit PVOD tomorrow, while Friday sees the theatrical release of the long-awaited I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER sequel. Check below for all the notable new horror options we have for the week.

Follows Annie (Winter), who scrambles to help rescue her best friend after she goes missing during a surprise birthday video call. Annie attempts to analyze the day her friend disappeared by examining calls, texts and social media, while also avoiding an ominous person from the friend’s past.

A group of cosplaying best friends must constantly battle closed-minded society just to do what they love - cosplay their favorite heroes. When a fated encounter triggers a zombie apocalypse in which all assholes are turned into zombies, the group must embody the heroes they revere, don their cosplay armor and collectable katanas, and traverse a zombie-infested Los Angeles to save their loved one.

When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they’re forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer…and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.

Anna wakes to kind faces she doesn’t recognise and a remote island she has no memory of. She is forced to re-learn everything about herself, her husband and the baby she is carrying. But when two disfigured people arrive on the island and there is a violent altercation, she discovers that the human race is close to extinction and goes searching for the truth about herself.
