Some of the comedic aspects of the pic actually worked for me and I personally found the movie pretty amusing overall, at least enough to sit through without getting bored (for the most part). While the flick didn't really need to be shot in this found footage style, it's chosen approach didn't really bother me much either. Though, I think certain scenes would've been more effective had they just been filmed traditionally.
They're Watching is a pretty standard and unremarkable flick until the last 15-or-so minutes when it takes a surprising turn and makes up for a lot of the lackluster early bits of the film. Though, unless you like the characters and dig the comedy, the movie will likely be a chore to sit through since nothing really happens until an hour in. I personally found it entertaining (mostly), but comedy is subjective, so it may not work as well for you.
