This Week's Notable Horror: 06/16 - 06/22

We've only got a little more than a handful of new horror to watch this week, but among them are some big releases. First off, the gory and well-received FINAL DESTINATION BLOODLINES lands on PVOD tomorrow for those of us that might've missed it in theaters. Meanwhile, Friday offers the much anticipated and long-awaited theatrical release of 28 YEARS LATER. More options are available this week, so just check below for everything notable.

Finding Nicole (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

The most disturbing stories are the real-life experiences shared by those who have survived or witnessed the atrocious behavior from “loved” ones. Those who have gained our trust and companionship only to have it manipulated and twisted into a malicious, self-serving agenda.

Warfighter (2018)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

Many war films I have seen mainly revolve around a political platform, or at the very least…are associated with a diplomatic involvement on a bureaucratic level of morality.

This Week's Notable Horror: 06/09 - 06/15

This week is a busy one, as we've got almost a dozen new films to check out. Within the batch is the PVOD release of CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD, which is out tomorrow. Meanwhile, this Friday (the 13th) sees a number of indie horror land on VOD like the supernatural pics THE DOGS and THE OTHER or the killer alligator movie GATOR LAKE.

Junkie (2012)

REVIEWER RATING:
9/10

In a filthy and grimy house (somewhere in NY?), lives… or rather, dwells… the nasty drug-afflicted brothers Danny and Nicky.

Gush (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

Honestly, I turned this on without so much as reading the synopsis, cast, crew…nothing. I think this is often the best way to watch a film: go in blindly.

Project Skyquake (2022)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

Not only has Jozsef Gallai mastered the art of suspenseful found footage filming, but he has created the perfect algorithm when taking his viewers on a journey into the world of the unworldly.

This Week's Notable Horror: 06/02 - 06/08

We're now in June and the month is starting off fairly strong with a number of new horror flicks to catch this week. Specifically, the highly praised period horror movie SINNERS starring Michael B. Jordan hits PVOD tomorrow. Moving on to Friday sees the theatrical release of DANGEROUS ANIMALS, about a serial killer on the high seas with some killer sharks to add to the terror.

Dracula Eternal (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
5/10

When Bram Stoker’s Dracula came to the big screen in 1992, I ran to the theater twice over that weekend to see my boy, Gary Oldman in the monster role of a lifetime – the bloodsucking vampire, himself.
