This Week's Notable Horror: 07/28 - 08/03

We're closing the month out on a soft note with only a handful of new horror releases. The most notable being the body horror flick TOGETHER, starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie, which lands in theaters this Wednesday. Check below for everything releasing this week.

The Workout (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

It’s been a good minute and a half since my last James Cullen Bressack film review. This revelation hit me hard last night after screening The Workout. I’ve really missed this guy’s work, damnit!

A Murder in Oakland: Beauty Is Deadly (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
3/10

This was a tough watch. Not because it was horrifying, adrenaline-fueled or gory (not a drop of blood was spilled in creating this low budget film) but because I’m not entirely sure if murder was the narrative of this would-be true crime film.

Bambi: The Reckoning (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

We all know the story of Bambi…the sweet and adorable fawn who grows up in the forest “alone” after he loses his mother to hunters.

This Week's Notable Horror: 07/21 - 07/27

Looks like we've got another decent number of releases this week. Specifically, DANGEROUS ANIMALS about a serial killer on a boat lands on PVOD tomorrow, after a theatrical run last month.

Clutch (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

Ride share driver, Tonya is having an ordinary night…picking up creeps who would rather get kicked in the balls than accept her rejection, receiving incessant phone calls from her controlling “boyfriend” Marty (another exceptional performance from Michael Pare), and unresolved personal issues wei

This Week's Notable Horror: 07/14 - 07/20

We've entered another decent week of new horror releases with more standouts among the lot. Namely, M3GAN 2.0 is already set to hit PVOD tomorrow, while Friday sees the theatrical release of the long-awaited I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER sequel. Check below for all the notable new horror options we have for the week.

Hot Spring Shark Attack (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
1/10

There are bad movies and there are “what the fuck did I just watch?” movies. Hot Spring Shark Attack is without a doubt on the “da fuck?” list, beyond Sharknado smoking crack.

The Benefactress (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

How far can an artistic filmmaker’s freedom go before he/she hits that wall of pure prudence?

This Week's Notable Horror: 07/07 - 07/13

Last week was a little disappointing, but we're back with a lot more new horror to watch this week. Specifically, the latest from David Cronenberg titled THE SHROUDS finally makes its way to VOD tomorrow, while Wednesday sees the Netflix release of the Thai action zombie movie called ZIAM.
