This Week's Notable Horror: 10/05 - 10/11

The first full week of October is starting strong with a dozen new releases. Tomorrow sees several titles hitting VOD, including the comedy ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES: ORGANIC INTELLIGENCE, Korean zombie flick COLONY, supernatural sequel INSIDIOUS: OUT OF THE FURTHER, and action thriller ONSLAUGHT.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence (2026)

I was not a fan of the original, cult-classic 1978 Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, so my expectations for Organic Intelligence were not exactly high. This one, however, is a huge improvement.

Cursed Waters (2026)

I’ve always enjoyed a good pirate movie: bold swashbucklers stirring up trouble across the seas in pursuit of stolen riches, with a thrill of danger and anti-establishment freedom. Add a sharp screenplay and a star-studded cast, and the result is seafaring magic.

This Week's Notable Horror: 09/28 - 10/04

Spooky month is just a few days away, and it’s already starting out strong with close to a dozen new titles to check out. Tomorrow brings the limited theatrical run of the horror comedy DEATHGASM 2: GOREMAGEDDON.

The Leader (2026)

This Week's Notable Horror: 09/21 - 09/27

More than half a dozen new releases are coming this week, with the majority debuting on Friday. The lone title arriving tomorrow is Eli Roth's ICE CREAM MAN, which lands on VOD. Meanwhile, Friday brings several notable releases, including the slasher comedy BUZZKILL, which debuts on Tubi; the latest supernatural pic FAMILY, which premieres on VOD; and the Japanese ghost movie NEVER AFTER DARK, which hits select theaters.
