House of Re-Animator

Ignoring the previous three films, the story focuses on a "Bush-like president" who dies in office and his staff covertly brings in Dr. Herbert West to reanimate him.

LATEST NEWS

3.31.08
As I suspected, it looks like the film isn't happening, at least not anytime soon (if ever). Writer/director Stuart Gordon spoke with Fango recently, where he revealed that the project still hasn't received proper funding, and he believes it's because of the polotical satire that's apparent in the script.

He believes that people are afraid to touch a film that takes potential jabs at this country's current leader, and the project wouldn't work if they waited too long and a new president steps up. However, Stuart Gordon did mention that if they worked on a new script that a sequel could happen in the future, but as of right now, things aren't looking good.

I liked ALL OF THE Re-Animator FILMS! Upon the very last film, it was INCREDIBLE to see the young Dr. Herber West's work on re-animating the human body using his new NPEs-Nano Plasmic Energy ALMOST SUCCEED. . . .I think the NPS needs purification! Yet I've followed Jeffery Combs since being the Vorta "Wayoon" on Deep Space Nine! Aside from the film, it was exciting to see Jeffery Combs again! I AND EVERYONE ELSE with a scientific curiosity and facination ARE DYING TO SEE the young Dr. West's decades of experiments FINALLY SUCCEED!
Somebody. . .get the late H.P. Lovecraft to make another!

Do not worry. I have spoken first hand with Jeffery Combs aka" erbert West" and he said he is definatly not doing another Re-Animator film nor is anyone planning on making one.
People pay too much attention to rumors.
Get the facts first.

I was about 7 years old when i stumbled upon re-animator, and i loved it. Even though this movie was made before my time, I would love nothing more than to see another re-animator movie, especially with Combs still playing Dr. West. Great cast and crew is just calling for another re-animator production.

I will find the money if need be...Brian Yuzna and the rest of the cast and crew desserve to make this movie. They are talented and amazing film-makers. It would be a shame and an injustice not to have this film happen.

Beyond sucked. i love bizarre horror movies, i love the weird ones that no one else does and the some mainstream films as well but no question about it, Beyond Re-Animator sucked. i really tried to get into it, i really did...the beginning was great, then it just went down hill getting worse and worse....a re-animated penis running around? c'mon....not as funny as it shouldve been. me and my mother(who loves the original)tried to watch it and we did get through the whole thing...but were highly disappointed.

Jeez, I hope this isn't dead in the water. As a fan of the series, I hope it goes back towards the routes of the original. "Bride" was too bizzare (and that's saying something when one looks at the series), and "Beyond" was too plain and stank of STV chessieness , even though I liked it as much as the original. Here's to "House"!

Lovecraft is my favorite authot of all time. Re-Animator is my favorite horror series of all time (with the exception of Beyond Re-Animator which wasn't all that great but a decent addition). And a lot of people knock Bride but in my opinion it may actually be better then the first. Let's hope they keep the old school film styling over the more recent approach on Beyond, and I'm quite sure this will be both insane, as well as a laugh riot (in a good way of course).
