I was quite surprised by this film. I actually thought it was rather good. It's not necessary your average 80's slasher, because this one actually had a good plot. Starts off with a young sorority girl having these nightmares of a man burning. We later learn that the nightmares are caused of a childhood incident involving her parents. At first the film looks like it might go towards a different direction rather than just a slasher flick, because of the nightmares, but it quickly turns into a slasher when a nurse at a local mental institution gets murdered and six patients escape.

This film had many good points. Good directing, acting, and a well done plot. The reason why I liked the plot so much was because it wasn't like, "oh hey we're in college, so let’s all go have a party somewhere" and we witness their asses get killed. In this film the sorority girls are forced to pull a prank by going into a building and stealing a guards uniform and THEN they get their asses killed. I think that was a better reason to go into a building then just to go.

The thing is none of them knew about the killer. At least not until they were trapped in the building. Anyway, the death scenes were okay. Not much for gore or blood and no real scares either. I did find the film entertaining none-the-less. As for the killer - they didn't bother showing him aside from his hands. That's another reason why I liked the film. Masks to cover ones identity is used way too many times and isn't scary at all. It's also better this way because it makes it harder for us to guess whom the killer was.

It wasn't that hard for me to guess the killer even though there weren't any real clues as to whom it could have been. Let's just say it ended with a very interesting twist and that's what made me give it a 7-rating. Many may disagree with this review, but I found the movie very entertaining and original.

A very underrated 80's slasher film. Pretty original story and a killer that DOESN'T wear a mask. Cool twist at the end. Recommended if you can find it.
