Alice, Sweet Alice

I decided to check this movie out after a lot of people said they liked it. I'm glad I did, because I wasn't disappointed. The only thing that I found a little surprising was the fact that they clearly state that Brooke Shields was in the film, but only to have such short screen time. Either way, it's still good to see famous actors start out in horror films. The movie's basically about a small group of killings all seemed to be centered around a weird little girl named Alice. The film tackles religion and other topics, such as pedophilia.

This film wasn't bad. It was interesting and kept me guessing at times. It had a pretty decent story and an odd bunch of characters. The acting and directing was pretty good and so were the kills. I would have given the movie a higher-rating, but it was confusing and slow at times, but I still enjoyed it. I liked the mask the killer used too. Reminds me of my own.

OVERALL

A good rent if you're lookin' for an old slasher-type film.
