UHM - Review - American Psycho

That was one interesting movie. It's amazing to just watch Patrick slowly go insane as the movie progresses. I thought the film wasn't bad. It didn't bore me that's for sure. The weird thing is that it got a lot of negative reviews before it was actually released. I thought it wasn't going to be good, but I was definitely wrong. The acting by Christian Bale, who plays Patrick Bateman in the film, was excellent. He couldn't have done it any better. I was hoping there was going to be more gore, but I'm sure the MPAA took care of that. Bastards. I know there was a three-some sex scene that was cut out of the film because it was too graphic or something. They just took the fun outta that didn't they? It was still nice to see some girl on girl action that was left in the film.

Anyway, I found some scenes a little hilarious because of the circumstances and knowing the guy was supposed to be some kind of yuppie and he's committing all these murders. I was a little bit confused towards the end of the film, but that's just because I'm a dumbass, but I think I got the gist of it. I would have given it a higher rating, but I was hoping for more gore and maybe a little more stuff to the plot, but that's okay. It was still pretty good.

If you'd like to watch a man slowly go insane and murder people then check out this flick.

Its amazing how after 9 years this movie has become such a cult classic. I havent met anyone yet that didnt atleast some what enjoy watching this film(Yea, I know someone out there had to hate it.) If you havent taken the time yet to view it slap yourself and pop it into your DVD/VHS player. I assure you that it will be worth 102 minutes of your life even if it doesnt turn out to be the master peice you were hoping for. Atleast now with the unrated dvd you can enjoy a bit more gore and fornication to help keep your eyes glued to the screen.
"Patrick?", Where are you going?"
"I've got to return some video tapes..."

This is a great movie and Bale hit a home run as the lead. If you want a good read check out the book it rocks as well. It could have used a little more gore but what can you do other then that you have to see it!
