Unborn But Forgotten

I heard this was a decent flick some time ago, so I figured I'd check it out. I wish the plot could have been more original, because it was basically a combination of other asian flicks that I've already seen before, mainly Kairo and Ringu. The story follows a detective trying to find the cause of the mysterious deaths of young healthy women. Apparently the women are normal until one point that their belly grows and they die instantly. The detective ends up tracking the source to a website called the "White Room." We later learn that apparently anyone who visits the site will die within' two weeks. Does the plot sound familiar?

The movie is obviously a rip-off, but it did succeed in keeping my interest for the most part. There are many similarities to Ringu, but it fails to give any good scares; for me anyway. I did like the atmosphere and feel for the flick though, and the performances were played out well. The movie is rather predictable, but that's to be expected when the plot isn't anything original. I would have given the movie a lower-rating, but I found myself interested while watching the movie despite the fact I knew what was going to happen before it did.

OVERALL

A decent flick, but nothing original. Worth a look if you're a big fan of Asian horror and you've got no other options.

PG-13, looks undoubtedly dumb already and even though I think the
world of Writer/Director David S.Goyer because he did such an amazing job with Blade:Trinity and I loved the cast especially Dominic Purcell, I feel honestly sad to say that this movie looks
terrible, but that I'll still rent it just for the hell of it. Its a rare occasion
that I even rent fu*kin PG-13 movies VERY RARE, but I will do it just this one time because I like D.S.G. He's one of my other favorite
horror writer/director's.

This film was ok, definitely seen alot worse. Could have been a bit longer. But a couple of good scares. Gary Oldman's good in everything, when he's taking his medication. No just kiddin Gary.

This movie was terrible. I don't know what movie Ryan watched, maybe he stumbled into "He's Just Not That Into You" by accident. The plot holes were enormous, the story was not scary (or historically or theologically accurate) and it was clearly a vehicle to sexualise the lead actress for the sake of the 13yo male viewing audience. This movie had a decent budget and should've been better. Unfortunately this is the reason why horror films aren't taken seriously.

This movie was one of the biggest let downs ever, David S. Goyer should be ashamed and he is truely the only one to blame for it - having written it and directed it himself, refusing to allow anyone else to alter his story. Weak CGI further hindered the tragicly predictable plot. Failing to create any fragment of suspenseful or scary atmosphere at any point, the only saving grace was the use of jump scares... But as you can probabaly predict these were all over used too. They're just lucky Odette Yustman agreed to do this, great body - enough said. I'm sure Gary Oldman will be in a hurry to forget this role.
