UHM - Review - The Last Slumber Party

All right, the only reason why I rented this crap was because I thought it was part four of the Slumber Party Massacre series or something, but it is actually some low-budget crappy slasher film that shouldn't have been made. It starts off dumb enough, where some crazy guy escapes from a local hospital and follows these high school girls to their slumber party. Now, he goes after the girls because one of the girl's fathers is the doctor that was treating him. If that's not stupid enough for you, the girls look like they're in there freakin' early to mid thirties. Either they did a poor casting job for the film or the girls spent 20 years in high school.

Anyway, it gets even dumber -- after the girls jump around like idiots, listening to crazy 80s music, one of them decide to call the "men folk." The film basically gets crappier and crappier after that. The guys come and immediately make out with the girls, only to get their asses killed shortly after -- no surprise there. Another thing I'd like to point out is how low-budget the film is, like for instance when someone is talking on the phone with someone we can hear the other person on the other line actually talking next to the camera's mic. What the hell? Is the production crew that clueless? And the whole movie pretty much looks like it was filmed with a home camcorder.

This film has bad directing, lighting, and a VERY bad script. They really overdue it with the whole killer-giving-the-camera-a-long-hard-stare-with-the-weapon-pointing-straight-in-the-air -- what the hell does that suppose to do? They also spend way too much time in certain scenes that really don't have any point to it. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention the acting - PURE CRAP. My damn friends and I can pull off better acting out of our asses than those people did.

OVERALL

This film is definately going on my Stupidest Films Ever Seen list. Don't rent it.

I agree, this move is horrible. The woman who plays the nurse is the head of our acting dept. at our school. She's switched to directing now. We get a good laugh out of it though.
