Long Time Dead

I heard a lot of mixed reviews on this movie, but it seemed interesting, so I checked it out and I actually liked it slightly more than I thought I would. The story is nothing original - A group of young friends decide to use a Ouija board for one reason or another and get in contact with some evil demon, who they later learn is called the Djinn, hmmmm.. sounds familiar

I was a bit surprised when I saw how much blood and gore the film had. That's probably a reason why I liked as much as I did. The acting and directing was decent and the death scenes were enjoyable. The scares were moderate and the effects used in the movie were pretty good. I liked how the demon looked towards the end. The movie is predictable and unoriginal, but I enjoyed it, which is why I settled on a 6-rating. It kept my interest from the start.

OVERALL

A decent rent whenever it comes to DVD here in the states. Nothing original, but has a nice amount of blood and gore.
