| Scared to Death More like bored to death. This is the film debut of writer/director William Malone, whom you may remember as the man behind the House on Haunted Hill remake and the horrible FearDotCom. Poor William debuted with a rocky start, because this movie is just plain horrible. Not only is it incredibly boring, but it's also a rip-off of the Alien franchise with the look of the creature in the film. The plot is about an ex-cop-turned-hack-writer, who aids an investigator in search of who's killing various people around the city. The duo discover that it isn't the work of a man, but a genetic experiment gone mad!.. Oh, how original. The creature seems to like to hang out in the sewers, so it's up to the two to travel down there and put a stop to the little bugger. What this movie lacks in originality, it makes up for in campy-ness, because the movie is just plain low-budget and cheesy at times. I think I would have preferred this to have been a regular 80's slasher than a creature flick, because it was just a big rip-off of other flicks. There was some decent gore at times, but with its low-budget, you can't expect a whole lot. Despite the title, the movie is far from being scary. It is, however, a reference to how some of the victims seem to die. Either way, I can't say a whole lot more about the movie aside from how bad it is. OVERALL Comments page 0 of 0:
