| See No Evil The first horror film to come out of the WWE Films entertainment banner, this movie was rumored to have a couple other titles before settling on See No Evil. The horribly titled Eye Scream Man was the first rumored one, while Goodnight was the second. Considering our lead villain (played by WWE's Kane) likes to remove the eyeballs of his victims, See No Evil seemed the most fitting. From "Between the Cheeks" and "Hootermania" to See No Evil, director Gregory Dark's career was mostly in the porn biz before somehow getting a job helming this flick. Early reports suggested that this would be an "intense horror movie" with a "new horror icon in the vein of Freddy or Jason", but of course that isn't the case here. Sure the movie doesn't hold back on the gore, and does provide for some mildly entertaining slasher fun, but as far as Kane being the new "horror icon", I don't think so. Not only is his character hollow and fairly uninteresting, but without the axe Kane's essentially just playing himself. Although, I'm sure that's the point of casting him, regardless, we're not witnessing anything new here, character or genre-wise. The story uses the typical formula of a group of young and horny guys and girls and gives it a twist by making them lowly criminals put in a program to fix up a dilapidated hotel that could shed some time off their prison sentence. Why they would make this program unisex and only have one guard assigned to look over them is beyond me, but that's that premise we have for this flick. For added measure the guard that's looking after the miscreants has a past with our Kane -- many years prior when he was a police officer, he not only lost his hand to the crazed killer, but also his partner, so there's bad blood between the two that needs to be dealt with. The violence is pretty raw and there's a decent amount of gore in the movie to keep horror fans mildly entertained. Slasher-wise this is a decent movie, but in terms of a genre film, we're not seeing anything we haven't already seen before. Although the film didn't make much of a dent at the box office, it has almost made double its estimated $8-million budget, so it's a given that rumors of a sequel have already surfaced. I personally wouldn't want to see a sequel. OVERALL

The film was decent, but nothing noteworthy to make it stand out. Although, I noticed that a lot of the characters died in an ironic fashion. For example, the black guy, who was arrested for theft, was killed by Kane crushing him to death with a safe, the blond chick dying by a stolen cell phone, things like that. And every time you see an eye removed, it's always the same side that Kane's bad eye is on. Weird, huh? =P
Mostly bad, but the cellphone kill rocked!
Some of the acting needed work. At least Kane's acting was decent, but then again, that might be because his character didnt really talk, lol. Gore was good and the religious fanaticism was a good P.O.V. for the killers, but a wrestler as the lead villian? Wrestlers may already be actors, but that doesn't mean they're any good..............
being slasher fan and a kane fan i have to say that i liked this movie i think he would be good at playing jason in the remake to friday the 13th kane kicks ass and so does jason i would like to see my favorite wrestler play my favorite seriel killer the only thing i didn't like about see no evil is there was a rap song on the credits
i really liked this movie. i saw it in theatres and i really liked it. it offers a good amount of gore and the acting isn't that bad either. it's not very original or anything but it's not disappointing either.
Even though I'm a wrestling fan and this wrestler is one of my favorites, I have only this to say: *slap* Bad Kane! No crappy movie, no!
