| Silent Hill Ah yes, Silent Hill. I remember going out to buy the game the first day it was released for the Playstation. I immediately came home and played the hell outta that thing; eventually forcing myself to take a break after my thumbs were too numb and my brain be racked after all the puzzles. I loved the game, and it wasn't until years later that I played the second and third on the PC. I tried out the fourth game, which I didn't like and chose not to finish, but it didn't really follow the Silent Hill storyline anyway. After the release of Resident Evil, my friends and I thought, why not Silent Hill? Finally, in 2006, our dreams were met, but were our expectations? In many ways, yes. I have to say that Silent Hill so far is the only game-to-film adaptation that truly followed the feel, look, and even sound of the game it's based on. I have to give props to the guys behind this, and the fact that they worked closely with those who developed the games. OVERALL Comments page 1 of 1:
The First Time "Rose" Experienced "The Horning Then Everything Turns Dark" Was Just Right After Waking Up. She Followed A Young Girl. Thought It Was Her Daughter. Instead "Rose" Is Chased By The "Grey Children!" The "Grey Children" Cornered "Rose" In A Room. But Suddenly The "Grey Children" Burned And Disintegrated. "Rose" Sleeps. Wakes Up. It's Not Dark Anymore. "ROSE" IS SAVED BY THE LIGHT? The Second Time The Horn And The Dark Attacked, "Rose" Finds Herself AGAIN! Being Chased By Kolin, The Creepers, And Red Pyramid. She's Cornered AGAIN! This Time With Police Officer Cybil Bennett. As Both Are About To Lose Hope, Everything AGAIN! Turns Back To Normal. "ROSE" IS SAVED BY THE LIGHT AGAIN. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE LIGHT INTERVENTIONING, THIS MOVIE COULD HAVE ENDED EARLY. THERE WERE ALSO "THREE ALESSA GUILLESPIEs." THE "BURNED ALESSA," THE "DARK ALESSA," AND "SHARON." THE CREATURES [EXCEPT FOR ALESSA] WERE ALL WEAK.
I can't tell you how much I hated this movie...why puritan ghosts?! I always loved the idea for Silent Hill's first game plot...the Mother of God dealio with Alessa and all....but no....and they just portrayed the monsters in the movie for a "shoot out" thing....when the monsters are really suppose to be portraying the emotions the character feels....ugh just such a bad film......loved the monsters though...
I never played the game. I heard of it but, didn't know what the game was about. All I know was the director did "Brotherhood of the Wolf" which was awsome. So, I had to check it out. The movie was great it had everything for a horror movie should be. The atmosphere was a little unpleasant in a good way. Especially after the siren goes off and all the strange looking creature comes out that creepy because your not sure what your seeing and creature movement was great. The only thing I didn't like is the writing some moments they have some cheesy dialoges. Great movie overall 8/10
I was happy with this film im a huge fan of the series the third game is great better than the second by far the only thing thats lame is the husband looking for his wife it slows movie down way to much but seein the pyramid head on the big screen made my day if only resident evil stayed more true to the games resident evil was a kick ass movie though
i am very upset that the movie followed most of the silent hill 2 game thing. like some of the characters especially pyramid head. in the second game pyramid head plays one of the main characters sort of. the next part of my message contains a bit of a spoiler. what are they going to do in the second movie. because the game sequels dont continue characters from the previous ones. what the hell are they going to do with pyramid head. if they get pyramid out of the next movie well whos gonna kill maria near the elevator. though if they keep pyramid head well then they arent going to follow the games enough. if they create silent hill 3 the movie then the whole storyline is going to change and have the viewers confused.
