| Vampires: The Turning This is the third (and hopefully final) film in the John Carpenter's Vampires trilogy. Of course John had nothing to do with neither this nor the previous sequel (well he did executive produce it), but somehow they continue to make them for direct-to-video enthusiasts. Surprisingly, much like the previous sequel (Vampires: Los Muertos), this is actually decent. The vamp action and martial arts aren't too bad, and it had a number of interesting characters. The story follows a young man as he searches for his missing girlfriend, while on a trip in Thailand. Not only does the man have the fact that he's in a foreign land against him, but the guys that abducted his girl may have been local vamps. He gets mixed up with a vampire, who’s also a vampire hunter, and a group of greedy regular vampire hunters, as they are all after one lead vamp, who apparently abducts many women to such their blood. The plot thickens as the man discovers it all comes down to a young woman who was one of the first vampires, and also the one that turned the lead vamp. She started it and it will eventually end with her if all goes according to plan. I have to admit that I was entertained by this direct-to-video piece. The effects weren't bad it had some decent action. For those of you who may have caught some Dawson's Creek, you may remember the guy's girlfriend in this flick as "Andie" from the show. It looks like after the show she’s been in small roles for mostly low-budget flicks. Poor Andie. OVERALL Comments Page 1 of 1:
Vampires: Out For Blood was way better than this load of crap.
