Dariuss (2023)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

“The most important questions are the unanswered ones.” Give that a moment to sink in, rid your mind of all preconceived notions of what makes a good horror film and hit play on DARIUSS. This is NOT your typical scary movie. Because there is NOTHING typical about DARIUSS.

This Week's Notable Horror: 04/28 - 05/04

It looks like April is going out with a bang, as we've got a dozen notable releases this week. If you missed them in theaters tomorrow sees DEATH OF A UNICORN and DROP land on PVOD. If you'd rather wait until Friday you'll have more options like the new shark flick FEAR BELOW on VOD or the supernatural movie ROSARIO in theaters.

The Wonderbar (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
8/10

Horror comes in many forms and is inarguably incomparable to the horror of losing a loved one at an early age. They say the stages of mourning descend upon you in multiple phases…the toughest one, in my personal opinion, is grief.

AYNIB PODCAST: Episode 142 RIP Val Kilmer

We’re back for another resounding episode of everyone’s favorite podcast. We have a lot of fun on this one, Ryan, Mike, and Shane (and of course Ziggy) are buying houses, going to concerts, and watching their friends puke (not necessarily in that order).

American Trash: Director's Cut (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
10/10

I rarely give out a perfect rating to any film as my standards (albeit minimum in criteria) are high in my expectations of a seamless picture: keep my attention; make me think; be unpredictable; give me a reason to rewatch this.

Amityville Apt. (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
1/10

On November 13, 1974, Ron DeFeo Jr. shot and killed his entire family while they slept in Amityville, NY.

This Week's Notable Horror: 04/21 - 04/27

We've got a little more than a handful of new notable releases this week. Tomorrow sees a few movies land on PVOD: the sci-fi horror flick ASH, the throwback comedy slasher HELL OF A SUMMER and LOCKED starring Bill Skarsgård and Anthony Hopkins. Meanwhile, the UNTIL DAWN live-action movie lands in theaters this Friday. Check below for everything notable coming out this week.

MobKing (2023)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

Before I get hounded by all the “MobKing isn’t a horror movie!” complaints, let me just convey that my definition of ‘horror’ is anything that will scare, shock and thrill an audience.

The Slasher Nurse (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
3/10

Once upon a time, a hospital nurse went on a killing rampage due to her disdain for all the inconvenient ill patients she was forced to care for under degrading circumstances. She was self-righteous in all her exploitative disregard for human life, so she went bezerk and then committed suicide.

100 Tears (2007)

REVIEWER RATING:
3/10

I expect a lot of hate mail coming my way pending this review, but that’s absolutely fine since I frequently go against the grain and critique on my own outlook. And 100 Tears didn’t meet the great expectations I had anticipated.
