Popeye's Revenge (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

This is amusing on so many levels beyond the obvious. For one, Popeye is not a Disney asset unlike the recently released Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare and Screamboat.

Final Recovery (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
5/10

It’s 1974 and a store owner is killed outside of his business by a street junkie, in front of his young daughter who is waiting in the car.

A View to Die For (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

“Greed is good” – Gordon Gekko

Ordinarily, that mantra may be conveniently true. However, in the case of the Montgomery family, that is a complete (and deadly) misconception.

This Week's Notable Horror: 05/12 - 05/18

The new releases have slowed down quite a bit, as we have less than a handful of flicks to check out this week. Despite that, we do have a big title hitting theaters this Friday: FINAL DESTINATION BLOODLINES. Check below for everything notable releasing this week.

An American Masquerade (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

Who doesn’t love a road trip movie? Throw in some alcohol, debauchery, drugs, murder, and mayhem I guarantee a ride to remember.

Love Me Dead (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
5/10

The premise of Love Me Dead is not as simple as the brief synopsis infers: Reclusive mortician Issac forms bond with waitress Cassi. After harrowing incident, they embark on a path of revenge, blurring lines between reality and fiction in this psychological thriller's tense narrative.

This Week's Notable Horror: 05/05 - 05/11

This first full week of May introduces a number of new releases to check out. Within the lot we have the slasher CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD, which lands in theaters on Friday. Also releasing on VOD the same day is the Australian horror flick THE MOOGAI and THE UGLY STEPSISTER. However, if you have Shudder you can find THE UGLY STEPSISTER on there as well. Check below for everything notable coming this week.

Desert Fiends (2024)

REVIEWER RATING:
6/10

Check out this incredible cast: Michael Pare, Scout Taylor-Compton, Robert LaSardo, Tom Arnold, William McNamara, Spencer Breslin, Eric Roberts, Lorelei Linklater, Nicole Butler, Lisa Wilcox, Bai Ling, Eileen Dietz, Bill Connor, Zachary Vasquez and of course…Shawn C. Phillips.

Static Codes (2023)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

As a fan of all things related to alien abductions in the Sci-Fi world of horror, Static Codes brings a new and refreshing approach by means of limiting the bells and whistles one would expect to see in a story about the unknown phenomenon.

The Final Frame (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

Since reviewing A Stranger in the Woods and The Black-Eyed Children, Jozsef Gallai hasn’t failed me yet so it only made sense to settle in for his newest creation: The Final Frame.
