Hounds of Love (2016)

REVIEWER RATING:
9/10

I am not a parent, but I imagine that Hounds of Love is the epitome of a mother’s (and father’s) worst nightmare. It’s almost a relief knowing I’ll never encounter this unimaginable devastation – finding out your child has disappeared.

This Week's Notable Horror: 03/31 - 04/06

We're about to enter April with an eclectic lot of titles to watch this week. Specifically, tomorrow sees the PVOD release of OPUS starring John Malkovich and the latest Popeye horror flick SHIVER ME TIMBERS on VOD (and no it isn't an April Fool's joke).

Circus Kane (2017)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

Clowns scare me.

This Week's Notable Horror: 03/24 - 03/30

We've got another week with more than a handful of new releases. Among them are a couple theatrical pics: the horror comedy DEATH OF A UNICORN and the supernatural flick THE WOMAN IN THE YARD. Additionally, if you missed the limited theatrical run, THE RULE OF JENNY PEN lands on Shudder this Friday. Check below for everything notable releasing this week.

2 Jennifer (2016)

REVIEWER RATING:
9/10

Whether you have seen To Jennifer (James Cullen Bressack's film) or not, there is still intense appreciation for this group of friends who set out to make a sequel. Note: You do NOT have to see To Jennifer to understand any part of this “sequel.”

The Black-Eyed Children (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

It takes immense talent to pull off (basically) a “one-man show” let alone a 70-minute film based on supernatural forces in the deliverance of mute children with stoic faces, black eyes and an air of creepiness in an isolated forest camp. But welcome to Camp St. Beatrice!

This Week's Notable Horror: 03/17 - 03/23

There are only about a handful of new releases this week and while it isn't much, there are a few really interesting-looking pis in the lot. Specifically, this Friday sees the theatrical release of the trippy sci-fi horror flick ASH starring Aaron Paul and Eiza González.

Butchers Bluff (2025)

REVIEWER RATING:
7/10

Butchers Bluff follows a similar formula of Scream, where in this instance, the introduction cameo belongs to Jeremy London (Chris) in place of Drew Barrymore.

This Week's Notable Horror: 03/10 - 03/16

We've got another decent week of interesting new releases ahead of us. Among the most notable is the supernatural horror comedy THE PARENTING, which hits Max this Thursday; the Samara Weaving and Ray Nicholson home invasion comedy BORDERLINE and the latest from A24 titled OPUS starring John Malkovich and Ayo Edebiri. Both movies release this Friday. Check everything coming this week below.

This Week's Notable Horror: 03/03 - 03/09

We're now officially in March and with the new month comes a slew of new releases. On that note, this week is already starting strong with several new horror pics to watch.
