This Week's Notable Horror: 05/18 - 05/24

New releases are picking back up this week with a slew of titles to catch. Leading the lot is tomorrow's VOD debut of THE MUMMY, while Friday brings theatrical releases for the horror-comedy CORPORATE RETREAT, director André Øvredal’s supernatural road pic PASSENGER, and the latest body horror flick SACCHARINE (read our review here).

Eternal Code (2019)

It was after watching Three O’clock High that I first noticed actor Richard Tyson, who played Buddy Revell—the menacing, silent, and ruthless bully. He has since become highly skilled at playing the tormentor, consistently dominating every scene in which he appears.

Odyssey (2025)

Odyssey takes its time—so much so that it feels aimless and perplexing, like spending a week witnessing the everyday ups and downs of a real estate agent facing challenges. How exciting! LOL

Meanwhile, Friday brings the shark thriller DEEP WATER and HOKUM—from Caveat and Oddity director Damian McCarthy—to theaters.
