This is a horror-comedy brought to us by the guys behind Super Troopers. Now I thought Super Troopers was a pretty funny movie, so I had high hopes for this one. When I saw the trailer, I thought it seemed like it could be a pretty decent horror-comedy, but sadly I was wrong. All the "funny" moments were basically shown in the trailer, with the exception of maybe a few scenes.

The story is pretty much like any other horror slasher we've already seen in the past, but at least this movie knows it's ripping off other movies -- about a paradise island resort that's basically made for people to party and get laid. What once seemed like a good idea at the time, has turned into a nightmare when the staff members of the resort start dying off by a poncho-wearing masked killer. Now it's up to the remaining staff to figure out who the killer is and put a stop to him/her.

When I went to see this movie I was thinking it would be pretty funny, but sadly I found a lot of the humor pretty lame. There were moments where I'd let out a small chuckle, but there's not much as far as anything that I'd refer to as really "funny". Like I said above, most of the good jokes were shown in the trailer, but there were a few scenes that I thought were somewhat funny. Though, overall when it came to the comedy it really failed and since the comedy failed, all that was left was the "horror". The movie's filled with those "boo scares" where someone would pop out of nowhere to give the audience a brief jolt. I've never seen so many of those in one movie before this; it just got ridiculous in the end.

The film is filled with all the usual horror clichés that we've seen countless times before -- sex, drugs, alcohol, splitting up -- but of course that's what they were aiming for, so you can't blame the movie for that. On a plus-side, it did have a lot of hot chicks getting naked and a decent amount of blood and gore. I also enjoyed the ending of the movie with the Halloween and Friday the 13th spoofs.

A disappointing horror spoof. The funny moments are few and far apart, so we're really just left with an incredibly cliched slasher flick. It does manage to have hot chicks, and decent gore and blood, but that's about it. Not recommended.
