Cold Hearts

When I checked into this film a while back it got a lot of mixed reviews and the cover didn't look too bad, so I thought I'd give it a chance. What a horrible decision. This was one of the most boring vampire films I've ever seen. The Understudy: Graveyard Shift 2 is still the #1 boring vampire film on my list though. The story is basically about a group of 20-something vamps who all seem to hang around a seaside resort where a lot of tourists visit. The vamps are pushed around by a cocky lead vamp and his lackeys, but are saved one day by a stranger. They befriend the stranger and soon learn there's more to him than meets the eye.

I knew right away the movie was going to be no good when I saw how low-budget it was and the fact that it was basically a Lost Boys rip-off was no help. The main flaw about this movie aside from its pocket-change budget is how the characters seem to go on constant and meaningless rants and stories. The character development was horrible in my opinion. I guess the whole script is just a big mess. There's no gore and barely any blood. The ending was the only thing remotely interesting about this film and that's what saved this movie from getting a rating any lower than a 3. Other than that, the movie's a waste of time. You're better off watching The Lost Boys again. Amy Jo Johnson should’ve never left the Power Rangers.

OVERALL

An incredibly bad vampire flick. No gore, barely any blood, a lot of pointless talking, and basically a Lost Boys ripoff. Don't waste your time.
