| Jason X It's obviously apparent from the plot that they ignored the previous F13 film where Jason supposedly went to hell, leaving fans thinking the series was all over with, but that's coming in horror sequels, so I guess that doesn't really matter. Anyway, I thought the movie was very entertaining and had a lot of cool scenes. It's also noted as being the film with the most deaths in a horror film. I knew when I first heard about this movie that I would consider it enjoyable more than anything, because with a plot like this it has to be fun otherwise it won’t have anything to show for. I found the movie to have many plot holes, but this is one of those films that you don't see for the plot, so that didn't really matter to me. There were a lot of sweet death scenes and action. In the beginning Jason is help captive until some scientist fellows want to bring him in to study him. Well Jason escapes, but later gets trapped in small chamber which freezes him and a woman for over 400 years. They are later found by a class of students and a professor. They bring the two in and resurrect the girl. The rest is pretty easy to figure out. I thought the concept of Jason in space, but I actually kind of liked it, because it gave good reason to have a lot of sweet guns to shoot up Jason. Towards the end of the film he gets his ass kicked bad by a chick android, but he gets remade into "Uber-Jason" which makes him look Robocop on steroids. I never liked the whole look of Uber-Jason, but I thought it was fun to watch him punch through steel doors and walls. The movie had the notable "cha-cha-cha" that we've all heard in each of the F13 movies. It was good to hear it again in the beginning of the movie. Kinda missed that *single tear rolls down cheek*.. Haha. Well anyway, Jason X is pretty much as you'd expect - a lot of hot chicks, a high body count, some humor, and some blood and gore. It was fun and entertaining and which is also why I decided to give it an 8-rating. I also liked the predictable and highly ironic ending. I would have given it a higher-rating, but I can't do that to a movie with plot-holes like ones in this film. Now is this the best movie out of all the Friday the 13th films? In my opinion, in terms of entertainment, yes, it is. I had fun watching this. So I'm sure you're all wondering how I was able to see this movie since I'm located in the US and it's only been released in other countries. Well I got my hands on a VHS copy of this movie from someone with connections, which is what you'll probably have to do unless you want to wait for who knows how long to see it at the theatres. I'll probably check this when it hits US theatres anyway because I've never seen a F13 movie on the big screen before. OVERALL Comments page 1 of 1:
I love this movie, it's just so funny and cool I'm glad it doesn't take itself seriously. This definetly isn't the worse of the Jason flicks I'd say Jason Takes Manhattan is or The New Blood, that's just my opinion. I thought Uber Jason looked rather wierd and did look alot like Robocop on steroids as Frightie said still good fun though, but some of the cheesy parts were just so cringe worthy like the android girl with those guns and the two teens looking up at the stars <Shudders with discomfort>
kinda cheesey movie...still enjoyable..i loved when jason killed the hologram chicks in the sleeping bags..hilarious
A 7?? You must be joking, or talking about a different movie. If you want garbage here it is!! Keep the damn killers out of space!!!
The only good thing about this movie is some of the kills. Other than that, I'd have ripped out my eyes for such atrocities and discrepancies this movie has with continuity. Peace out bitches
The worst of the series I agreed. Everything was bad in this movie. I don't wanna use big words to describe it. The only thing that was watchable were some of the cool kill scene. Okay here's a few facts, correct me if im wrong. 1. The movie had nothing to the series besides Jasons character. 2. How the hell he end up in space when he went to the hell in the previous "Jason Goes to Hell" and he did. 3. That's why he was resurrected in Freddy Vs. Jason which in my opinion should have been Jason 10.
this was the worst in the jason series. i hated this movie. putting a serial killer in space is always a bad idea and shouldn't have been done in the first place. all the technology seemed out there and the acting was bad. i mean if you want to watch a film just to be able to laugh at it then watch this but don't expect to be scared, or grossed out or even jump a little because this movie offers nothing that a real horror movie should.
I really liked this film when I first saw it, but when I watch it now, it's pretty cheesy. I think the time I saw it I hadn't seen a Jason film in so long that I was in a state of Jason-withdrawal and really wanted to see a new flick and would take anything that had him in it.
This is film is pretty good but unbelievably cheesy with those one liners. Some decent kills here and there, it would be better if uber-jason was there longer and actually killed someone (not including those holograms, or that black dude who goes into earth with him) 6.5 / 10
