Saw 3

This project was announced immediately after the box office success of the second film. The release was once again set for Halloween of the following year, meaning we'd get yet another sequel in less than a year's time. Normally when a project is put on a fast track such as this the quality of the product is greatly hindered, but so far the Saw franchise has proven otherwise. I suppose it's the fact that a lot of the original people keep returning, but whatever the reason is, Saw 3 definitely didn't let us fans down. Although I found this to be the weakest of the three, it's far from being a bad movie. Many of the questions we had throughout the first and second film are answered, which essentially ties up a lot of loose ends. Instead of following another group of people trapped in a room, this movie is played out mostly with flashbacks and in the present primarily dealing with Jigsaw as he and his subordinate Amanda kidnap and force a talented young doctor into performing surgery on him in hopes of saving his life.

The movie has some teeth-clenching scenes that attempt to top some of the games played in the previous films, that I personally didn't find all that hard to watch, but then again I might have been expecting a little too much given all the hype that was surrounding the film at the time. A lot of fans said it was the goriest and some consider it the best in the series. Although the film does have a decent amount of gore, I'm not sure if I'd actually consider it the goriest. Much like its predecessors, this film delivers another twist at the end, which was surprisingly predictable compared to the way the first two ended. Regardless, this film is another solid installment in what thought to be the end of the trilogy. It was later revealed after this opened at the box office that a part four was in the works with yet another Halloween release. Though, this time we won't see the return of director Darren Lynn Bousman or writer Leigh Whannell. Instead, the studio has a number of writers on the payroll, in hopes of delivering a fresh new addition to the series. What this could mean to the franchise remains to be seen, but I'm personally not keeping my hopes up.

OVERALL

Another solid installment in the Saw franchise
. The film answers a lot of questions we may have had during the first two films and ties up a lot of loose ends. Definitely recommended.

Be for I begin i'd like to kindly point out to J Roark (even though not everyone does know) that it's called The Rack, not The Twister, though that name also vaguely describes it perfectly.
I loved the first. Me and my sister rented it (we rented it after Saw 3 came out, we never really thought about it before then) and i enjoyed it. A few days later my sister rented the second but since i didn't know i watched Saw 2 on youtube. i loved that one. mainly because there was more people which made it more intresting. the only part i really cringed at was The Needle Pit. but other than that i was fine. a few days later we watched Saw 3. I too enjoyed it but not as much as the second one. November 23/07 i was very happy to recieve the Saw Trilogy from my sister for my birthday contained:
Saw: Uncut Edition
Saw II: Special Edition and
Saw III: Director's Cut
i have yet to see Saw IV but i can't wait to. as well as the release of Saw V and Saw VI

I thought this film was AMAZING to say that it is the 3rd in the series!!
I thought the traps were great and the background on the characters is fantastic.
I thought the main man story, where he is playing jigsaws game is slightly slow but the amazing traps and beautiful ending cancells that out.
Saw - 7-8/10
Saw II - 8-9/10
Saw III - 9/10

Definetly my favourite so far, loads of questions are answered, the traps and death scenes are alot more elaborate that the previous 2, and it has a bit of a psychological element with Amandas emotions and Jeffs vengeance.

probably my favorite in the series. my mom bought this movie for me for valentines day and i was cringing the whole way through. the deaths in this movie are way more intense then the first two and i liked how it explained some things we had questions about from the first 2. overall a really good movie.
