Silent Madness (1984)

REVIEWER RATING:
5/10

Silent Madness is a little known and easily forgettable 80's slasher that got a 3D release in theaters before landing on its inevitable 2D VHS platform. Though the film rips off several other genre pics, its above-average bodycount and a couple interesting elements in the story make it a decent watch.
ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction (2009)

REVIEWER RATING:
4/10

No relation to the comic with the same name, ZMD is described as a "political zombedy", something we see very little of (if at all) within the sub-genre. Does the film's political and social commentary actually work is really up to the viewer, but one thing's definitely clear and that director and co-writer Kevin Hamedani couldn't have made its statements anymore painfully obvious.

Tooth and Nail (2007)

REVIEWER RATING:
5/10

Tooth and Nail originally made its theatrical debut in After Dark Film's horrorfest back in 2007 and I've been curious about it ever since. Despite the negative reviews it received, I've been meaning to watch it, as I'm partial to post-apocalyptic and cannibalism films. As expected from the films of the horrorfest -- it wasn't very good and should've stuck with its intended DVD premiere.
Apocalypse of the Dead (2009)

REVIEWER RATING:
4/10

Also known as Zone of the Dead, this marks Serbia's first attempt at a zombie flick and is pretty much what one would expect from an unimaginative low-budget genre effort. At least they got it right by adding genre vet Ken Foree to the cast, but his badassery wasn't enough to save the film from its inevitable low-rating.
